Hurricane Relief Headed to Villa de Santiago

People in Edinburg’s sister city will soon receive food, water, medicine, and other supplies that were donated by Edinburg residents. A crew from Villa de Santiago, Nuevo Leon picked up the donations and will deliver them to the people who need it most.

Villa de Santiago was devastated by Hurricane Alex. Homes, roads, and bridges were destroyed. People who live there tell us supplies collected in Edinburg are greatly appreciated.

The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce will continue accepting donations for the rest of the month of July. You can take items to 602 W. University Drive, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Food, water, medical supplies, diapers, and toiletries are still needed. Clothing is no longer needed.
